Spring Breeze, Taiwan, is a story of searching for identity. While living in the U.S., my nephew—a young Taiwanese man—grapples with the fractured nature of his national identity. Through music and the suppressed history of Taiwan’s White Terror era, he begins to reclaim what was lost.

Part of the feature documentary Hear, Eat, Home, Spring Breeze, Taiwan, will also be released as a stand-alone short. The larger film follows immigrant artists, led by Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh, as they explore identity, displacement, and belonging through music and shared meals.
